Lingen Becomes the Third Satellite of KI Park
We’re proud to announce that Stadt Lingen (Ems) is stepping into the future of AI by joining ⭕️KI Park as a new member and establishing a KI Park Satellite location at the IT-Campus Lingen ICL! With the support of local leaders such as KRONE GROUP and CORNEXION, this initiative will transform Lingen into a hub for advanced technology, promoting new ideas and practical applications in AI.

Banking Bytes: How Quantum Computing & AI Transform the Financial Industry
On the 9th October, ⭕️KI Park, in partnership with AXOVISION, Kipu Quantum, and KfW hosted the second Banking Bytes event on transformative potential of AI and Quantum Computing within the financial sector at KfW Innovation Hub in Frankfurt.
Our program director, Dr. Marc Karahan, launched the day with a keynote highlighting current AI trends and the advantages of an evolving tech ecosystem. Thorught the day our Members, researchers, leading banks and tech experts joined to discuss real-world applications and future impact of these technologies.
🔑 Here are some Key Takeaways:
The financial sector remains an early adopter of AI, with large banks actively exploring Quantum Computing proof of concepts.
Quantum innovation has to deliver on "bread and butter" problems of financial institution first. This enhances the organizational experience and grows internal capabilities to pave the way for more disruptive quantum computing innovations.
Quantum technology is still evolving, with most solutions not yet meeting regulatory or SLA standards. However, focusing on foundational financial problems is essential for meaningful breakthroughs.
Financial institutions must build internal quantum capabilities now and can’t solely rely on AI to maintain their competitive edge.
Successful implementations will require problem owners to upskill in Quantum Computing, allowing them to spot new opportunities and drive practical applications.
Strategic AI: Roadmaps for Organizational Innovation
Our expert panellists—Dr. Simon Müller, Nora Heer, Markus Stulle, and Dr. Sonja Galkin under the moderation by Clemens Binder— shared real-world examples and highlighted crucial points on the future of AI in various sectors. The exchange between decision-makers from consultancies, corporates, SMEs, and start-ups created a rich dialogue, and if you're looking to integrate AI in your company, consider these key takeaways from this TechTalk:
Align AI initiatives with the overarching business strategy to maximize relevance and impact.
Develop a guiding vision and assess organizational maturity to measure readiness for AI.
Empower employees to identify where AI can best support their roles for more effective implementation.
Prioritize practical application and value creation, focusing less on strict legal certainty to avoid stifling innovation.
Adopt a trial-first mindset, enabling experimentation with AI before thorough evaluation.
Lead by example in AI usage, with leaders setting a strong example across the organization.
